Overview
It is important for people to understand disabilities and that compassion is needed to be taught, not assumed. A very good way is to have the general education students learn how to walk in another person's shoes doing different activities. People have a tendency to avoid those who make us feel uncomfortable and do not know how to act around someone with a disability. This unit will provide the opportunity for students to discover what it is like to have a disability in physical education class.
